A Ritual Landscape Considered
In this fresh new study following ten years of research the authors propose that there is evidence of sophisticated geo ritual surveying in the landscape that connects the primary Anglo-Saxon boat burials at Sutton Hoo and Snape with the summer and winter solstices.
Staverton: Wonderland of Kings
Staverton Park is ‘one of the most important surviving areas of wood pasture in England.’ With its close proximity to Rendlesham, the implication is that it may have originated as an Anglo-Saxon hunting ground, placing it firmly within a much wider georitual landscape.
